Jabal Omar

On the western slope of Jabal Omar, one of Makkah’s most famous mountains which overlook the Grand Mosque and Kaaba, Jabal Omar Development Company is building a modern city boasting comprehensive facilities and services on 230,000 square meters of land which represent the first phase. Of this area, 54% is dedicated to residential towers that were designed to achieve a contemporary yet authentic look that preserves the Islamic and Meccan architectural characteristics. These towers are being positioned in a unified format whereby they do not mask one another, thus enabling unobstructed panoramic views of the Holy Mosque from every room. This modern city will house approximately 45,000 residents in addition to hosting more than 150,000 worshipers who will be praying alongside worshipers in the Holy Mosque at the grand oratory and at the towers’ own oratories. Additionally, the City of Jabal Omar will include retail space with an area of 257,000 square meters along with two separate networks for vehicles and pedestrians, a complete infrastructure with open areas, squares, public facilities and services, as well as an internal road network and a connecting road network to this gigantic development. In total, these occupy 105,000 square meters representing 46% of the project area, thus rounding off elements that benefit a city worthy of neighbouring the Grand Mosque.

Dyafat Albalad Alameen

Sustainable development of the hospitability industry is the motivation behind creating Dyafat in November
2010, because Makkah is in need to:

  • Increase attraction options and prolong the guest stay
  • maximize benefits of Makkah cultural and recreational resources
  • higher quality and better performance

We aim to redraw Makkah master plan as a World-class destination. Yet, all productions and provisions are
made by partners of the private business sector. Our primary initiatives include:

  • Makkah City Terminal (Airport-like facilities)
  • Holy Shrines Pedestrian Walkway into a popular destination
  • Mandatory Car Parking at Makkah highways into trendy venues
  • Smart Apps Company, integrated solutions and an e-marketplace
